SERVICES
Our speech pathologists treat a variety of communication disorders to adults and children 10 years and above. The speech pathologist works with patients to maximize their quality of life through improved communication.
Speech therapy for adults includes treatment for:
- Cognitive (brain function) issues after stroke or head injury
- Aphasia (trouble understanding and/or expressing language)
- Motor speech disorders. This may include people who have Parkinson’s, ALS, MS, or who had a stroke or head injury
- Swallowing disorders (dysphagia) using Fiberoptic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) testing. Symptoms include coughing during or after swallowing, choking on food or liquid, the sensation of food getting stuck in the throat, pain during swallowing, and trouble breathing while eating.
- Vital Stim Certified
Speech therapy for children and adolescents (ages 10-18) includes treatment for:
- Language disorders or delays (difficulty understanding and using language)
- Speech disorders
- Social communication disorders
